Stacy McCarthy
Stacy grew up in Florida loving the ocean, became an All American swimmer and attended Colorado State University on a full athletic scholarship. She began her journey in the Yoga & Personal Development Industry over two decades ago.
Since then, Stacy has been on the cutting edge of Yoga & Fitness in teaching, program design and management. Her tenure in the industry includes stints as Chief Operating Officer for a successful chain of Health Clubs, Southern California Director of Programming for Club One and a consultant to numerous fitness clubs, yoga studios, teachers & products.
Having presented at some of the yoga & fitness industries most renowned conferences for the past ten years, she is an in-demand teacher nationally and has gained worldwide recognition for her Yoga Body DVD series. Stacy holds a BS in Exercise Physiology and was inducted into the Yoga Alliance at its highest level.
Armed with this knowledge, a daily practice of yoga & meditation, and passion for helping others, Stacy started her own business Yoga NamaStacy, which is held in high esteem throughout the Yoga & Fitness industry. She appears on Exercise TV and is the yoga expert for the Active Health Network. Stacy has been seen as the face and spokesperson of many top health and fitness brands such as V-8 Vegetable drink, Yoga Stick-e Products, Flex Cushion, Lululemon Athletica, Ryka and Life Time Networks Diet Tribe.
When Yogaworks, one of the world's most comprehensive Teacher Training Programs wanted to break into the San Diego market, they approached Stacy to launch their programs. IDEA, the world's largest membership based organization for Fitness Professionals hired Stacy to recruit faculty & program the yoga curriculum for their renowned conferences. Stacy's mentoring program has assisted yoga teachers, studio owners and aspiring yoga students from all levels & experience in honing their skills, defining their career paths & discovering freedom in life mentally, emotionally & financially.
Having gained success in her professional & personal life, Stacy was inspired to combine her love of yoga, animals & nature and developed Doga Yoga events to raise funds & awareness for animal shelters. Over the years, these events have helped raise thousands of dollars for neglected animals.
Stacy resides in San Diego with her husband, two kids, two dogs & a cat. She is the Yoga Director for the Yoga School of Business.
